Return policy :

Exchange policy:

Burning method and dipping method are two commonly used methods to identify silk material (silk). The following is a separate description of these two methods:

  1. Combustion method (Burning method):
    The burning method involves observing the characteristics of the silk as it burns to determine its authenticity. Silk is mainly composed of protein fibers, which leads to characteristic changes during combustion. Here are the steps to distinguish real silk using this method:
  • Take a small sample of the silk material to test.
  • Light it using a match or lighter.
  • Observe the combustion characteristics. Real silk gives off an odor similar to burning hair or feathers, the flame is blue in color and leaves behind a gray ash.
  • Pay attention to any smell of burning plastic or the presence of plastic residue after burning. These characteristics could indicate the presence of synthetic fibers rather than real silk.

2. Immersion method :
The immersion method involves observing the reaction of silk when dipped in specific solutions to determine its authenticity. Different types of fibers react differently in different solutions. Here are the steps to distinguish real silk using this method:

  • Prepare two containers, one filled with cold water and the other filled with lukewarm water.
  • Dip a small piece of silk to be tested in cold water and observe its reaction. Real silk remains supple and maintains its original shape in cold water.
  • Immerse the same piece of silk in lukewarm water and observe its reaction. Real silk becomes even softer and may crease slightly.
  • Pay attention to any color changes or dissolution. Synthetic fibers may melt or change color in water, while real silk generally does not have such reactions.

What is a momme?

The momme is the unit which defines the weight per square meter of silk.

A momme is a unit that defines the weight of silk per square meter. The unit is expressed in g/㎡. For example, a 19mm fabric weighs approximately 82g per square meter, a 22mm fabric weighs approximately 94g per square meter, and a 25mm fabric weighs approximately 106g per square meter. For our standard size 50 x 70 cm silk pillowcases, a 19mm pillowcase weighs approximately 64g , a 22mm pillowcase weighs approximately 73g and a 25mm pillowcase weighs approximately 82g .

  • The washing temperature must be below 30°C.

  • The temperature must not exceed 110°C.

  • Do not tumble dry.

  • Do not use bleach.

  • Use a neutral detergent.

  • Spread in the shade to dry.

Is your pillowcase 100% silk?

We use 100% real silk, both sides of the pillowcase are silk, except the zipper, there is no other material

How does the pillowcase close?

We offer 3 styles of pillowcases for you to choose from: zipper style, envelope closure style, and envelope closure can be with or without border. In general, people prefer the zippered style, perhaps because the zipper wraps the pillow more compactly. Where is the product produced?

Our product is manufactured in China, specifically in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions, which are recognized as one of the best sources of silk. Will the product shrink after cleaning?

As silk is a delicate fabric, it is possible for it to shrink if not properly cared for when cleaning. To minimize the risk of shrinkage, it is important to follow the recommended care instructions for the specific silk product. Hand washing or using a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent, avoiding excessive agitation, and air drying flat or hanging can help prevent shrinkage. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid the use of hot water, harsh detergents and high temperature drying methods as this can contribute to shrinkage.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

In order to support the environment and offer better value for money, we generally use simple packaging. However, if you want to give the product as a gift to your family or friends, we can provide a gift card and gift packaging. Gift wrapping will incur additional costs, but when the person receives your silk gift, they will definitely be delighted.

How long does it take to receive my package?

Delivery via Colissimo or Colisprive generally takes 5 to 10 days and packages delivered via DHL, UPS, etc. take about 3-5 days. Please allow 48 hours for us to process the order.

Will you be informed when your package is delivered?

When your package is delivered, our delivery service provider will contact you by telephone to inform you. However, if you are unable to answer the call for any reason, your package may be temporarily held at a relay center, and you will then have to collect it yourself.
